Playa Buena Vista - Rancho El Coro

The journey begins at Playa Buena Vista, where the Sea of Cortez sparkles beside the trailhead. From the beach, the route climbs steadily into desert foothills, crossing sandy paths and cactus-lined ridges. Panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding sierras reward the effort.

It’s a challenging first day that ends at Rancho El Coro, a quiet desert homestead where camp is set beneath wild fig trees, camp fire and stars.
